Mr. Muff

Whenever you’re looking for a warm and soft drum sound, the small German company “Mr. Muff” offers the perfect products for you. They call them vintage drum sound tools and have three categories of items in stock. The first product they came up with is called the “Muffkopf”. This small device offers a felt surface and can be attached to any bass drum beater you have.

You get a completely different sound without having to change the beater of your bass drum pedal. The soft touch of the felt surface gives you a lot of low end while reducing the attack of the beater. The two available versions of this tool are the “Muffkopf Standard” and the “Muffkopf Deluxe”. The larger surface of the sheep felt deluxe version reduces the attack even more.

Another cool Item they came up with is the “Minimuff”. It attaches to the rim of your snare or toms and muffles the drumhead with the same felt surface as the “Muffkopf Standard”. You end up with a really dry and controlled sound. The newest addition to their product lineup is the “Muffstick”.  Just like the “Muffkopf”, it slides over any drumstick and changes its sound completely. The “Muffstick” is available as a heavy and light option offering different surface sizes. When playing on drums or cymbals you can create new sounds and get inspired by the new possibilities.
