Since Latin Percussion was founded by Martin Cohen in 1964 they have become one of the leading percussion brands of the world. No matter if you are looking for high quality cowbells, bongos, congas, shakers or any other instrument that you might find in latin music, LP has you covered. They have been delivering well crafted instruments for the sophisticated player ever since, while never stopping to improve their products.
One of the best selling products are their cajons. Due to their huge range of woods, faceplates and finishes they offer the perfect instrument for everyone. The variety in their product range is nearly endless.
These high class wooden instruments are assembled in their Oxnard facilities. Being located close to DW’s factory and through their close relationship they have had the chance to improve their processes and products even more.
Akbar Moghaddam has been part of the company for many years and has come up with several product ideas during this time. Looking for new concepts and model ideas all the time, he has inspired many artists all around the world by offering them new instruments on a regular basis.
Another important person within LP‘s team is their production manager Josh Trask. He also lead us through the manufacturing process of one of their hand built cajons.
